Good afternoon, Guest
How CogniAIX works
Common questions from teams evaluating CogniAIX for the first time.
What does CogniAIX actually do?
CogniAIX listens to your meetings, calls, lectures, or any audio recording and produces three outputs: a full transcript, a structured summary, and a list of tasks assigned to the people who committed to them. The goal is to eliminate the manual work that happens after a conversation — writing up notes, following up on commitments, and trying to remember what was decided. Instead, everything that was agreed is captured, attributed, and ready to act on before participants leave the call.
How are tasks extracted from a conversation?
CogniAIX uses a combination of speech recognition and natural language understanding to identify commitments in a recording. A commitment is a statement where someone agrees to do something — 'I'll send you the revised budget by Friday,' 'Can you set up a call with legal?', 'Let's schedule a follow-up for next Tuesday.' The model identifies the commitment, the person who made it, and the deadline if one was stated. These are turned into structured task cards you can review, edit, and share by email or as a PDF.
How accurate is the transcription?
CogniAIX achieves up to 98.9% transcription accuracy in internal tests on clear audio from a standard conferencing setup. Accuracy drops for recordings with significant background noise, heavy accents the model has not been trained on, or highly technical domain-specific vocabulary. We measure task-extraction accuracy (whether the right commitments were captured) separately from word-level transcription accuracy — task-extraction precision runs up to 92%, with owner detection at 84–89% in controlled environments.
Does CogniAIX work for uploaded recordings, not just live meetings?
Yes. You can upload a pre-recorded MP3 or M4A file and CogniAIX will process it exactly the same way as a live session — transcript, summary, and tasks, in sequence. Many teams start by uploading a backlog of existing recordings to evaluate the output quality before sending the agent to a live call. Upload processing typically completes within a couple of minutes for recordings up to an hour in length.
What meeting platforms does CogniAIX connect to?
CogniAIX's agent currently joins Microsoft Teams calls — paste the meeting link and it joins, records, and returns the full output automatically, no plugin required. Summaries and tasks can be shared by email or as a PDF, and calendar sync powers Prep Me. If your organization needs a different platform, contact us — our team can scope custom integrations for enterprise customers.
Is my data private and secure?
All recordings are encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Nothing you record or upload is shared with third parties, and recordings are never used to train AI models without your explicit consent. You can permanently delete any recording, transcript, or task from your account at any time — deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed. CogniAIX runs on HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2-certified AWS infrastructure and has never sold user data.

What CogniAIX Does — Free, No Account Needed
This demo gives you five free transcriptions using your own audio. Upload any MP3 or M4A file up to 5 MB — a team standup, a client call, a voice note, or a lecture — and CogniAIX returns a full transcript, a structured summary, and a list of extracted action items in under 90 seconds for most recordings.
No account, no credit card, no download required. The demo runs entirely in your browser. Five free transcriptions are available per device. If you want to save transcripts, share them with teammates, or unlock the full Conversations hub and Cognia AI chat, creating a free account takes about 30 seconds at app.cogniaix.com.
Who Uses CogniAIX
Product and engineering teams use CogniAIX after sprint planning sessions and design reviews to convert verbal commitments into tracked tasks automatically — no one has to spend 20 minutes writing up action items after the meeting ends.
Sales teams upload call recordings and get a CRM-ready summary: who committed to what, which objections came up, and what the agreed next step is — ready before they close the call tab. Owner-assigned follow-up tasks mean nothing falls through between the call and the CRM entry.
Researchers and academics upload interview recordings or lecture audio and get searchable, timestamped transcripts. Instead of scrubbing through a two-hour recording to find a specific quote, they ask Cognia directly: “What did the participant say about budget constraints?” and get the exact passage with speaker attribution.
Operations and project managers use the Tasks panel to ensure that every verbal “I’ll handle that” in a meeting becomes a tracked item with an owner and a due date. The gap between “we discussed it” and “it got done” closes automatically.
Content creators and podcasters generate show notes, episode summaries, and searchable transcripts from recordings in minutes. A 60-minute episode returns a structured summary, key highlights, and quoted timestamps — ready to publish or hand off to an editor.
How CogniAIX Differs from a Basic Transcription Tool
Most voice-to-text tools stop at the transcript. CogniAIX reads the transcript the way a good chief of staff would — looking for commitments, decisions, open questions, and action items. It asks “what needs to happen next?” rather than just “what was said?”
Accuracy is central to this. A transcript that mishears “by Thursday” as “by Tuesday” creates real problems downstream when tasks are extracted from it. CogniAIX achieves 98.86% word accuracy on clear audio, measured across 300 real recordings, and action items are extracted from that accurate base — not from fuzzy approximations.
Turnaround is also different. Human transcription services typically return results in 24 to 48 hours. CogniAIX returns a complete transcript with summary and action items in under five minutes for most recordings, and under 90 seconds for files shorter than 10 minutes.
Privacy and Data Handling
Your audio is processed over an encrypted connection and is never used to train AI models. Files are automatically deleted from our servers after processing completes. You can request immediate deletion of any transcript from your account settings at any time. We do not sell, license, or share audio data or transcripts with third parties. CogniAIX is compliant with standard data protection practices, and all processing is performed on infrastructure that is isolated from third-party data pipelines.
Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats does the demo accept?
The demo accepts MP3 and M4A audio files up to 5 MB. The full app supports larger files and additional formats including WAV, FLAC, and OGG.
How long does transcription take?
Most files under 10 minutes return in under 90 seconds. A one-hour meeting typically takes 4 to 5 minutes. Processing time scales with audio length, not file size.
Does CogniAIX support languages other than English?
The demo is optimized for English and supports American, British, Indian, Australian, and Canadian accents. The full app includes support for additional languages, with more in active development.
Can I record directly in the browser instead of uploading a file?
Yes. The demo includes a live recording option — click the microphone button to record directly from your device’s microphone. The recording is processed the same way as an uploaded file.
Can I export or share the transcript?
From the full app, transcripts export as PDF, Word document, or plain text. You can also generate a shareable link to send teammates a read-only view of any transcript with its action items and summary.
Is the transcript editable after it is generated?
Yes. The full app includes an inline editor where you can correct any word in the transcript, re-assign action items to different team members, and add context or notes before sharing or exporting.
