How are tasks extracted from a conversation?
CogniAIX uses a combination of speech recognition and natural language understanding to identify commitments in a recording. A commitment is a statement where someone agrees to do something — 'I'll send you the revised budget by Friday,' 'Can you set up a call with legal?', 'Let's schedule a follow-up for next Tuesday.' The model identifies the commitment, the person who made it, and the deadline if one was stated. These are turned into structured task objects that can be reviewed and pushed to Slack, Jira, Asana, or Trello with a single click.
How accurate is the transcription?
For clear audio from a standard conferencing setup — Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams — transcription accuracy typically runs above 95%. Accuracy drops for recordings with significant background noise, heavy accents the model has not been trained on, or highly technical domain-specific vocabulary. We measure task extraction accuracy (whether the right commitments were captured) separately from word-level transcription accuracy, because a small transcription error in a common word rarely changes the meaning of a task. Task extraction precision runs 84–92% in controlled benchmarks on real recordings.
Does CogniAIX work for uploaded recordings, not just live meetings?
Yes. You can upload any audio or video file — MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, WEBM, and most other common formats — and CogniAIX will process it exactly the same way as a live meeting integration. Is my data private and secure?
All recordings are encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Nothing you record or upload is shared with third parties, and recordings are never used to train AI models without your explicit consent. You can permanently delete any recording, transcript, or task from the dashboard at any time — deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed. Enterprise customers can configure role-based access controls, data retention windows, and audit logs. We provide a SOC 2 Type II report on request for enterprise evaluations.
